NAIFA launches new ACA resource site

Dear NAIFA Members,

On October 1st, 2013, the installation of our new national board will be happening at our national conference in San Antonio. We are humbled and honored to serve our members. We have been counting down the days with great anticipation toward continuing leadership and advocacy efforts for our great federation on behalf of the industry.

We know that many of our NAIFA members and their clients are counting down to October 1 for an entirely different reason. October 1 is the day open enrollment begins under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). You and your clients face a completely new healthcare landscape as the administration implements new elements of the law.

To help you and your clients understand and adapt to the changes, NAIFA has launched a new ACA micro website that provides resources NAIFA members can share with their clients. The site includes a practical application guide for agents, brokers, and employers as well as an implementation timeline.

There is also a brief analysis of the major policy issues surrounding the ACA that are of particular interest to NAIFA, as well as NAIFA’s positions on these issues and links to external, topical sources. NAIFA will use the site to countdown major launch dates for the law to ensure members are aware of the “next step” for the law’s rollout. The site is currently counting down to the beginning of open enrollment.

The microsite will provide the most up-to-date information as the implementation process moves forward to ensure that NAIFA members are the best informed in the industry.

NAIFA remains committed to providing you with the advocacy and tools you need to stay in business, grow your business and be a positive role model of ethical behavior for our industry.
