Stories connect us. When we want to motivate prospects and clients, one of the most successful ways is through storytelling. And some of the most powerful stories in the industry are the LIFE Foundation’s realLIFEstories videos.
In fact, during this past September’s Life Insurance Awareness Month, an independent survey found that people who viewed a realLIFEstories video were 57% more likely to consider purchasing life insurance than those who had not1… realLIFEstories like that of agent Christie Trahan, who convinced a young mom, Summer, to protect her son’s future with life insurance, just months before she passed away. But these are not just “other people’s” stories. These can be your stories.
Each year new stories are gathered through the LIFE Foundation’s realLIFEstories Client Service Recognition Program. To participate, submit a personal story that demonstrates how insurance in which you helped a family or business put in place (such as life, disability or long-term care) made a difference in a time of great need.
If your story is chosen, you and your clients will be featured in a video that will be used in a national public educational awareness campaign, as well as receive an all expense-paid-trip to San Diego to be honored at NAIFA’s annual conference next September.
In addition, there are career benefits to having your story featured nationally. NAIFA member Peter Busse, who received the realLIFEstoreis Client Service Recognition in 2012 when he shared the story of how he helped the Montes de Oca family, says the benefits have had a ripple effect in his practice. He’s able to offer the flyer and video to all his clients, it’s allowed him to grow his Facebook fan following and he’s increased his exposure locally and regionally through presentations that he’s been asked to give.
